The Glitter Bug Salmon Fly was invented by Dannny Bird from New Brunswick in Canada. The Glitter Bug was a result of his discovery of a new material, Krstal Flash, at a fly-fishing show in Pennsylvania. He fished the resulting fly on the Dungarvon River for two years before he introduced anyone else to the pattern. It is now an absolutely standard pattern for anyone Salmon fishing in New Brunswick in Eastern Canada and is rapidly gaining a worldwide reputation. Excellent for slow moving or glassy pools.
